About Wasl
Wasl is a private shared space for two people. The name comes from the Arabic word wasl (وصل) — connection, the closing of a distance.
Who it's for
Wasl was made for couples who are apart more than they'd like to be — separated by distance, time zones, borders, or language. Some couples also live with family or cultural expectations around how they communicate, and Wasl tries to respect that rather than ignore it.
What's inside
- Messages — a simple, quiet chat for the two of you, with optional translation when you don't share the same first language.
- Mood check-ins — a gentle way to say how you're doing without needing the right words.
- Memories — photos and notes the two of you keep together.
- A shared garden — a small daily ritual: each of you lights a lantern, and the garden grows when you both show up.
- Mochi — a shared cat who lives in a little 3D room the two of you look after.
How it feels
There is no feed, no likes, no strangers, and nothing competing for your attention. Wasl is meant to feel like a room the two of you share — calm, unhurried, and yours. It works in several languages and is designed so that neither partner's language is treated as the default.
